Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Laurie Lee Hypolite, 54, who passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. James Fallon, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi, will conduct the service.
In her free time Mrs. Laurie enjoyed speaking creole, dancing, listening to music and planting flowers. She was always helping others, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was employed by Smile Headstart and Wal Mart.
Survivors include her mother, Alexina Barber of Breaux Bridge; her sons, Marcus Hypolite of Augusta, GA, Marvin Hypolite, Clarence Hypolite, III, and Montell Hypolite all of St. Martinville; her daughters, LaToya Hypolite and Bria Hypolite of St. Martinville; her brothers, Carroll Barber (Marie) and Darrell Barber (Carline) of Houston, TX and Leroy Wiltz of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Alda Mae Barber and Hilda Spencer (Earl) of Breaux Bridge, Anna Barber of Houston, TX, Alice Malone (Kevin) of Seattle, WA, Doris Roman of Breaux Bridge, and Eva Mouton (William) of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, which are two sets of twins, Jolie and Jowan Hypolite of St. Martinville and Amari and Ayden Hypolite of Augusta, GA and her special companion, Frank Wiltz of St. Martinville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Barber, her daughter, Tony Hypolite; her maternal grandparents, John and Louise John and her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Yola Barber and Camellia Barber.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
