Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2006, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Lawrence "Zack" Manuel, 73, who died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab in Breaux Bridge.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Fr. Alan Breaux will conduct the services.
Mr. Manuel was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine's Catholic Church for all of his life, where he served as an usher and lay minister and was also a member of Cursillo. He enjoyed horseracing and barbecuing. He was employed by Juneau's Flying Service for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Helena Roy Manuel of Arnaudville; two sisters, Nola Ledet of Jennings and Ezola Marks of Carencro; and several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
He was preceded in death by is parents, Joseph and Louise Lastrapes Manuel, Sr.; his brothers, Joseph Manuel, Jr., Gussie Manuel and Laudry Manuel; and his sisters, Ethel and Mary Manuel.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until time of service.
A rosary will be recited Saturday morning.
Pallbearers will be Charles Marks, Lance Walker, Jared Marks, Ronnie Dartez, Freddie Dartez and James Daigle.
The family would like to extend special thanks to all of the nurses and aides at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab for their care and hospitality.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
