Ledwin 'Din' Bonin

September 23, 1930 — March 31, 2017

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Ledwin Bonin, 86, who passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Scriptures will be read by Lindsey Cormier and Nadine Theriot. Gift Bearers will be Caitlin Champagne, Bailey Bonin and Ariana Cormier. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mrs. Ledwin owned and worked side by side with her husband at Martin Mills Cafeteria for 15 Years. She enjoyed hosting the "Koffee Klatch" on Fridays, reading, sewing and listening to Country music. She also loved her family and enjoyed visiting with them, especially her wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored. Her favorite saying, "It's going to be OK". She is survived by her sons, Gerald Bonin and wife Cindy of St. Martinville, Ken Bonin and wife Willette of Breaux Bridge, Neil Bonin and wife Brenda of St. Martinville, Burt Bonin and wife Dana of Parks; daughter, Vicki Champagne and husband Kim of St. Martinville; brother, Ronald Boudreaux of Catahoula; sisters, Lovell Devillier of Catahoula, Glenda Delaune and husband Elmer Ray of Parks; grandchildren, Tonya, Kevin, Lindsey, Nadine, Leila, Jude, Jobie, Meagan, Trey, Brock, Bailey, Taylor and Caitlin and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Bonin, father, Antoine Boudreaux, mother, Jeanne Boudreaux, brothers, Willis Boudreaux, Shirlis Boudreaux, and Curtis Boudreaux and her sister, Lunez Dore.
