Lee Fournet

New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Dr. Lee Marie Fournet, 59, who died Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Tempe , Arizona . Rev. Charles Langlois will officiate. Born on May 28, 1952 in St. Martinville, she was a Psychology Professor at Arizona State University and at the CAC Facility. She received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana , and then her certificate of gerontology, masters of counseling, and Doctorate in educational psychology lifespan development from Arizona State . Survivors include her husband, Matt Bourque of Tempe , Arizona ; parents, B. Lee and Doris C. Fournet of New Iberia; son, Douglas Fournet and wife Jenny of Baton Rouge; brothers, Ernie Fournet and wife Kathy of New Iberia, Kerry Fournet and wife Sheree of Longmont, Colorado; sister, Valery LeBlanc and husband Kevin of New Iberia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chataignier, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fournet. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia .
