Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Lee Roy Latiolais, 78, who passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at his residence.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Mr. Latiolais obtained his B. A. in Architecture and History. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Marine Corps Association, Disabled American Veterans and the First Marine Division. He was a loving son, father and patriot, who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, David Latiolais, of Cecilia, Roger Richard, of Beaumont, TX, and Paul Latiolais, of Lafayette; two brothers, Danny Latiolais, of Loreauville, and Tony Latiolais, of Henderson; four sisters, Laura Bossenbery, of MI, Georgia Thibodeaux, of Henderson, Evelyn Kidder and Clarine Flaherty, both of Cecilia; and two grandchildren, Demi Aria Latiolais, of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Loula Devilier Latiolais; a son, Jean Louis Latiolais; five brothers, Albert "Gooyu" Latiolais, Warren "Bob" Latiolais, L. J. "Mike" Latiolais, A. J. "Dahling" Latiolais, and Darrel Latiolais.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday.
