Lena Dicks Comeaux

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church in St. Martinville, for Lena Dicks Comeaux, 84, who passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at her residence in St. Martinville. Interment will follow at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville. Pastor Jessie Charpentier will conduct the funeral service. Mrs. Comeaux was an active member in the Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church, as well as the XYZ Choir. ?There was no greater joy for her than taking care of her grandchildren, and her grand-dog, ""Sparky."" Survivors include three sons, Wilson Joseph Comeaux, Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, James Stephen Comeaux and his wife, Stephanie, and Bobby Wayne Comeaux and his wife, Delores, all of St. Martinville; her sister-in-law, Jean Dicks, of Ozark, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Hillary Leigh Comeaux Cates, Aaron Christopher Comeaux, Adel Catherine Comeaux, Hannah Nicole Comeaux, and Alynn Marie Comeaux; and two great grandchildren, Kevin James Comeaux and Ridge Joseph Cates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Joseph Comeaux, Sr.; her parents, Lonnie and Pearl Dicks; two brothers, Lendel Dicks (who was her twin), and Manuel Dicks; and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lendel (Charlene) Dicks. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Aaron Christopher Comeaux, Jimmie Daniel Cates, Wilson Joseph Comeaux, Jr., James Stephen Comeaux, Bobby Wayne Comeaux, and Murrell Thomas Smith, Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Journey Hospice, 101 La Rue France, Ste. 406, Lafayette, LA 70508. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
