Rynella - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella, for Lena Dubois Stoltz, 81, who passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
Rev. Donovan Labbe will be the Celebrant.
Born on August 17, 1927 in New Iberia, Mrs. Stoltz enjoyed sewing, playing cards, especially pokeno, and going to the casino.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Stoltz and wife Jan McJimsey Stoltz of New Iberia, and their children Maria, John, Joel, and Jade; son, Gene Stoltz and wife Karen Lake Stoltz of Saraland, Alabama; niece, Abigail Pellerin Breaux and husband Randy and their children Yates and Luke; nephew, Clayton Pellerin and wife Elaine; nephew, Bruce Pellerin and wife Stephanie; brother, Howard Dubois and wife JoAnn and their children Simon, Sean, and Sara.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Stoltz; parents, Louis and Rosita Delcambre Dubois; sister, Martha Dubois Pellerin.
Pallbearers include Gene Stoltz, Mark Stoltz, John Stoltz, Jim Fisher, Shaun Dubois, and Clayton Pellerin.
Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Dartez and Jimmy Hebert.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday. Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM.
