Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Lennet Garland Castex, 78, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at his residence.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert.

Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate the memorial service. Readers will be Cassie Champagne and Karen McFaul.

Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery #2.

Lennet was born on December 31, 1944, to the late Garland and Beulah Darnell Castex.  He was employed with Frank's Casing Crew in Lafayette for 48 years and loved his job and the people he worked with all those years.  As a pastime, Lennet enjoyed cooking, entertaining his family and friends, watching LSU, The Young and Restless, and The Bold and the Beautiful.  He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Lou Anna Simon Castex; daughter, Nina (Edmond) Judice; daughter-in-law, Tami Castex; grandson. Dru Castex; and his sister, Sue C. (Larry) Thibodeaux.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Beulah D. Castex; son, Steve Castex; and his in-laws, Vivian and Andrew Simon.

Pallbearer will Dru Castex.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edmond Judice, Kenneth Broussard, Bradley Breaux, Douglas"Gee" Champagne, Nicky Guidry, and Clark and Mark Thibodeaux.
