Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Leon Huval, 60, who passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until time of service on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Friday.Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at a later date. Leon was a resident of Breaux Bridge, where he raised his family with his wife of 35 years, Melissa. He enjoyed hunting, crawfishing, and making trips to the casino. Leon never missed watching NASCAR races and always cheered on the LSU Tigers. Most of all, Leon loved spending time with his family, especially taking his grandchildren to ride on his lawn mower. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Melissa Schexnayder Huval; daughters, Kaylyn H. Knott (Garrett) and Molli Huval (Caleb Lanclos); grandchildren, Keegan Robin, Ashton Knott, Maddox Crase and Liam Lanclos; brothers, Johnny Huval (Ethel), Wayne Huval (Charlotte), and Jimmy Huval (Vanessa); and his sisters, Elaine H. Dautreuil, Julia Bijeaux, Suzanne H. Marks (Daniel), Genevieve H. Theriot (Nolan), Jeannie Angelle (Barry), and Hearmine Cano (Paul).He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Berney" and Leona Arnaud Huval; brothers-in-law, Emery Dautreuil and Jackie Bijeaux; father-in-law, Daniel Schexnayder; nephew, Trent Schexnayder; and his best friend, Jimmie Landry.
