Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. , on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Leona 'Lu Lut' Frederick Guidry, 80, who passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Leona enjoyed playing bingo, camping, going to the Casino and playing word search. She loved cooking, taking care and spending time with her family. She always made sure her family had everything they needed. Survivors include her husband, Harris 'Chawee' Guidry of Breaux Bridge; her sons, Edward Guidry and Larris (Paula Steele) Guidry all of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Suzie Guidry of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Ovey (Marla) Frederick, Jr. of Lafayette; her sisters, Mazel (Jerry) Hebert of Breaux Bridge, Amie (Leland) Blanchard of Parks and Verna Mae (Raymond) Boutte of Broussard; her brother-in-laws, Marshall, Pitt and Wilton; 6 grandchildren, Cecile Stelly, Windy Romero, Lanette Boutte, Kimberly LeBlanc, Ryan 'Bubba' Guidry and Laney Jo Guidry; and 9 great grandchildren, Kelsie Stelly, Jude Stelly, Seth Romero, Riley Romero, Drake Boutte, Addison Boutte, Katelynn LeBlanc, Kaydence LeBlanc and Edward LeBlanc IV. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ovey and Maria Champagne Frederick; her sisters, Agnes Thibodeaux, Lucille Allemond and Lillie Mae Thibodeaux; her daughter in law, Doris Guidry; and her nephew, Tony Allemond. Pallbearers will be Luke Blanchard, David Stelly, Ryan Guidry, Todd Romero, Ernie Boutte and Edward LeBlanc III. Honorary pallbearers will be her Great Grandchildren. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
