New Iberia ;- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2009 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Leona Ann Fremin Guillot, 92, who died Saturday, August 29, 2009 in New Iberia. ;
Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. ;
Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. ;
Born on January 1, 1917 in Coteau, Mrs. Guillot was the oldest of eight children. She was a talented seamstress making many beautiful wedding and ball gowns, often making all of the dresses for the entire wedding party from bride to bride's maids, flower girls and mother of the bride. She loved sewing and creating fashions and getting to know all of the people her talents brought her. She was part owner of the Nylon Shop for several years. Her favorite hobby was working in her yard and growing beautiful flowers. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. Her yard was "Garden of the Month" many times over the years. ;
First and foremost was her family. She loved gathering her family on Sundays and holidays for a big, home cooked, old fashion dinner. All family, friends, and strangers, were welcomed. ;
Survivors include her children, Wayne F. Guillot and wife Brenda Benoit Guillot of Youngsville, Margaret Denison and husband Roland of New Iberia, Louise Duncan and husband Dan of Avery Island, Louis Guillot and wife Adele Theriot Guillot of New Iberia, Jerry Guillot and wife Linda Louviere Guillot of Faubourg, Frank Paul Guillot and wife Myra Hall Guillot of New Iberia, Donna Gautreau and husband Ken of New Iberia; sisters, Maudry Whatley of DeQuincy, Lorraine Dupuis-Dartez of Lafayette, Dorothy Kilpatrick of Jackson, MS, Janet Segarra of Houston, TX; brother, Ronald Fremin of New Iberia; 20 grandchildren, Darren Denison, Dan Duncan, III, Michael and Bryan Duncan, Christian, Henri, Louie, John, and Michael Guillot, Christine Lissard, Michelle Landry, Edith Rader, Amelie McGill, Eugenie Fontenot, Nikki Elliott, Simone, and Candi Guillot, Frankie Rholdon, Kristen, and Ashlyn Gautreau; great grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob and Matthew Lissard, Elliot and Miles Minvielle, William Rader, Burkley, Brayden, Avery, and Austin Duncan, Logan Aucoin, Tylor Guillot, Finley and Brennen McGill, John Parker Rholdon, Lanie Lissard, Kate and Sarah Rader, Brooklyn and Hope Duncan, Monique and Cierra Guillot, Keegan Elliott; step grandchildren, Chancey Guiberteau, Stacy and Barry Gautreau; step great grandchildren, Charity Guiberteau, Tallon LeBlanc, Gavin and Braelynn Gautreau, Amanda Stein, Justin Silcox; step great great grandchild, Marley Claire Stein. ;
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guiteau and Bernadette Dugas Fremin; husband, Frank H. Guillot; twin sons, John Mark and Eugene James Guillot; grandsons, Mark Bryan Guillot, Francois H. Guillot, II; brothers, Richard Fremin and Gerald Fremin. ;
Pallbearers, honorary pallbearers, readers, and gift bearers will be her grandsons, granddaughters, great grandsons, and great granddaughters. ;

A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM. ;
