Leona Castania Courville Thibodeaux

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Leona Castania Courville Thibodeaux, 81, who died Thursday, November 17, 2005 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Thibodeaux was a member of the Ladies Altar Society at St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Good News Prayer Community. Survivors include five sons, Melvin Courville, Russell Courville and his wife, Rosie, Alpha Courville, Jr. and his wife, Mary, Norris Courville and his wife, Diana and Alvin ""A.J."" Courville and his wife, Cheryl, all of Breaux Bridge; four daughters, Emeline C. Theriot of Catahoula, Paulette C. Dauphinet and her husband, Clint, Paula Courville and her husband, Arthur, and Lillian C. Courville and her husband, Butch, all of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Maurice Castania of Arnaudville; twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alpha Courville, Sr.; her second husband, Sosthene Thibodeaux; her parents, Edward and Ella Fruge Castania; her brothers, Edward Castania, II, Cecil Castania, Sr., and John Lindsey Castania; her sisters, Elma Castania and Theresa Guidry; her grandchildren, Ashton Dauphinet and Mark Courville; and her son-in-law, Jimmy Theriot. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia from 8:00 a.m. on Friday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening. Pallbearers will be her five sons, Melvin, Russell, Alpha, Jr., Norris and Alvin Courville, and her brother, Maurice Castania. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Courville, Clint Dauphinet and Arthur Bourque. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
