St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Leonard "T-Joe" Charles, 64, who passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at New Iberia Manor South.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until time of service on Saturday.
Rev. Larry Collins and Minister Neal Archangel will officiate at the Funeral Service.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Leonard, known as "T-Joe" to all of his family and friends, was born June 21, 1955 in Lafayette. T-Joe was musically inclined and played many instruments such as the guitar, harmonica, drums, and keyboard... just to name a few. His favorite music to listen to and play was Jazz. He loved his family unconditionally, especially his grandchildren. T-Joe will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Ranisha Archangel; brothers, Arthur J. Landry and wife Goldie, Lucas Charles, and Steven Charles, Jr.; sisters, Charlene J. Jefferson and husband Arthur, and Charlotte J. Black and husband Theodore; grandchildren, Tritishia Gonsoulin and spouse Antonio, Jalynn Archangel, Taven Archangel, Jermaine Smothers, Jr., Rashad George, and Trinishia Archangel; and his nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lennet and Mary Lewis Charles; and one brother, Jules Bernard Charles.
Pallbearers will be Jalynn Archangel, Taven Archangel, Jermaine Smothers Jr., Rashad George, Sir Charles Black, and Quincy Charles.
