Leonard J. Gautreaux Sr.

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Leonard Joseph Gautreaux, Sr., 83, who died Sunday, August 20, 2006 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Gautreaux was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 - 1945. ?He was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. ?He enjoyed planting his garden, especially the tomatoes, and loved the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Rose D. Gautreaux of Arnaudville; his sons, Leonard Gautreaux, Jr. of Cecilia and Gregory J. Gautreaux of Arnaudville; his daughter, Martha G. Knott of Breaux Bridge; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dores P. Gautreaux; his parents, Onezime and Lucy Hebert Gautreaux; his brothers, Andrew, Matthew and Samuel Gautreaux; and his sisters, Lucille G. Broussard, Mary G. Verrette, Nies G. Robin, Stella G. Verrette, and Rita G. Taylor. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
