New Iberia - A service remembering Lester John Broussard, 69, of New Iberia, will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd. in New Iberia. Mr. Broussard died Thursday, July 20, 2006 in a New Iberia hospital.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Fr. Charles E. Langlois, pastor of St. Peter's Catholic Church will officiate the services.
Mr. Broussard was a senior salesman for Cameron Iron Works, with 37 years of service. A former boxer, he was also an avid golfer, and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Broussard was a veteran of the US Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Borel Broussard of New Iberia; son, Troy Broussard of New Iberia; daughters, Trudy Broussard of New Iberia, Taren Broussard of New Iberia, Tanna Viator and husband Dana of New Iberia, Tasha Dugas and husband Jeremy of Evanston, Wyoming; brothers, Oran Broussard of Loreauville, Kerney Broussard of New Iberia; sisters, Genevieve Gesualdi, Melva Lee Romero, and Debbie Broussard all of New Iberia; grandchildren, Brandon Moreaux, Angel Moreaux, Derrick Moreaux, Austin Moreaux, Kylie Viator, Kelsey Viator, Emma Grace Dugas; 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Laurie Landry Broussard; a grandson, Ethan Dugas; brother, Michael Broussard.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM Saturday at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dana Viator, Jeremy Dugas, Kerney Broussard, Benny Gesualdi, Oran Broussard, Troy Broussard, Brandon Moreaux, and Nuxy Romero.
