Lester Francis Roberts, Sr.

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia for Lester Francis Roberts, Sr., 92, who passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 7:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday. The family request that all visitors please wear a mask for visitation and service. A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday. Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Lester was a hardworking family man. He was an entrepreneur in the produce industry for many years, a barber, and he raised cattle. Lester will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his love of being outdoors, and his moments spent with his family. He will be greatly missed. He survived by his daughters, Joanna R. Shelton, Isabella R. Chevalier (Roland), Brenda Roberts, Janella Roberts Chevalier (James Ivy), and Ursula Zenon; son, Lester Roberts, Jr. (Brenda Gail); grandchildren, Andrea C. Benjamin (Craig), Beau Cluse, Sr. Cedric Shelton, Tiffanny Patrice Chevalier, Kimberly Shelton Bouyer (Frank), Robert Chevalier, Dwayne O. Shelton (Ashley), Mark Lewis (Mariah), Bridget Lewis, and Kenzie White; great grandchildren, Brennan Gordon, Merrill Bouyer, Stephen Bouyer, Beau Cluse, Jr., Louanna Cluse, Austin Demouchet, Chandler Demouchet, Joshua Shelton, Haleigh Shelton, Sydney Shelton, Chloe Shelton, Jacob Shelton, Braedon Dural, Saylor Lewis and Kashton Lewis; great-great grandchildren, Kinsley Gordon, Kaisley Gordon, and Cade Gordon; brothers, Harold Patt and Herbert Patt; his sister, Catherine Davis; and his companion, Hilda Gordon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Marie Davis Roberts; daughter, Louanna Roberts Derouselle; father, William Ferdinand Rossignon; mother, Anita Roberts Patt; and siblings, David Patt, Sr., Teresa Marks, and Felton Patt, Jr. Pallbearers will be Cedric Shelton, Dwayne Shelton, Robert K. Chevalier, Beau Cluse, Sr., Mark Lewis, and Brennan Gordon. Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Roberts, Jr., Roland Chevalier, James Ivy Chevalier, Kenneth Patt, David Patt, Edgar Davis, Issac Davis, Fritz and Roxanne Wiliford, Emery Roberts, and Koyo Nicholas. The family would like to acknowledge his niece, Ms. Cheryl Marie Patt, who compassionately cared for him in his final days.
