Lester Romero

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Lester Romero, 73, who passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015, in New Iberia. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native and life-long resident of New Iberia, Mr. Romero was born on January 21, 1942, to Melvin and Lorenza Romero. He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his sisters, Lucille LeBlanc and husband Aubrey of New Iberia, Betty Jean Decou of Erath, and Mildred Bonin of Coteau Holmes; brother, Richard Romero of Abbeville and daughter, Laurie Romero of New Iberia. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Lizay Romero, Joseph Romero; sisters, Audrey Crochet, Anna Mae Gary, Eula Mae Boudreaux, Theresa Tucker, Esther Boatright, and Mary Helen Trosclair.
