Lidney Thomas Zenon

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Lidney "Toot" Marie Thomas Zenon, 94, who passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at MeadowBrook Specialty Hospital in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Fallon, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, will conduct the services. The reader will be Kunkeisha Alexander, and music will be provided by Gilbert Wiltz. Mrs. Zenon loved to sew clothes and enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include her sister, Cecilia Soularie, of Breaux Bridge; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Zenon; her parents, Robert and Stella Thomas; her step son, Dalton Zenon; three step daughters, Stella Zenon, Elsie Boyd, and Yvonne Thibodeaux; three brothers, Walter, William and George Thomas; and four sisters, Mary Alexander, Mathilda Batiste, Evelyn Landry, and Alice Solomon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday and continue until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Pallbearers will be Abram Zenon, Kendrick Zenon, Gerald Zeno, Benjamin Zenon, Shelton Zenon, Sr., and Daniel Zenon. Honorary pallbearer will be Adolph Thibodeaux. Pellerin Funeral Home, of Carver & Dauterive Street, is in charge of arrangements.
