New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia for Lillian DeRouen, 83, who died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in New Iberia. Interment will be in Broussard Cemetery. Rev. Wanda Rousse, Senior Pastor of Faith Cathedral, will officiate the services. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. DeRouen had worked at Wormser's and at Keys to Life Christian Bookstore, and was a 1988 graduate of Word of Faith Ministries Bible College. She was a very humble, loving, compassionate and spirit filled person who welcomed anyone, especially children, into her home and her heart. Survivors include her husband, Calvin Anthony DeRouen of New Iberia; sons, Tony DeRouen and wife Connie of New Iberia, Joseph DeRouen of New Iberia, Darryl DeRouen and wife Jocelyn of New Iberia, David DeRouen and wife Cindy of New Iberia, Daniel DeRouen and wife Paula of Victoria, TX; daughters, Susan Etienne of New Iberia, Rosemary Klemons of West Palm Beach, FL., Lil Jambon and husband Michael of New Iberia; brothers, Walter Broussard and wife Cindy of Concord, CA, Frank Broussard and wife Brenda of El Dorado Hills, CA; Rose Lopez of Plano, TX; 25 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph F. Broussard; mother, Mary Peigneur Broussard; brothers, Freddie Broussard, Ivan Broussard; sisters, Mable Hammond, Louise Darrensburg; grandchildren, David DeRouen, Jr., Johnathan DeRouen, Ashley DeRouen and Kristy DeRouen. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
