Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon, on Friday, June 14, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, for Lillian Dupuis Guidry, 90, who passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 2:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday, and continue at 8:00 am until 11:15 am on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Alison C. Brasseaux and Angela Hebert. Gift Bearers will be her granddaughters. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Guidry was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks. She was a member of the Rosary Group of Parks and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Parks. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Richard (Terry Lynn) Guidry of Breaux Bridge; four daughters, Mary (Roy) Roberts of Parks, Leona (Darrell) Neuville of Loreauville, Diana (Lynn) Hulin of Parks, and Charlene (Brent) Champagne of Breaux Bridge; her sister, Janice Melancon of Parks; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Dewey J. Guidry; her parents, William Dupuis and the former Elda Stoute Dupuis; ;four sisters, Margie Dupuis, Mary Lou Champagne, Suzanne Dupuis and Jane Dupuis Latiolais Prejean; and three brothers, Ames Dupuis, Sidney Dupuis, and James Dupuis. Pallbearers will be Andr Champagne, Darrell Neuville, Christopher Hulin, Adam Latiolais, Dustin Guidry, and Richard Guidry. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
