Lillian Guidry Verret

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Lillian Guidry Verret , 94, who passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016, in Lafayette. Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native of Loreauville and a lifelong area resident, Mrs. Verret was born on August 24, 1921 to Ojie and Sylvia Fredrick Guidry. She worked as a tailor for Broussard's Mens and Boys Shop for over 35 years, and was a longtime member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Lawrence Verret and wife Barbara of New Iberia, Carroll Verret and companion Mae of Scott, Cynthia V. Williams and husband Marshall of Lafayette, Elaine V. Gibbs and husband Ernest of New Iberia, Sandra V. Miller and husband Ricky of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, James Gibbs, Darren Gibbs and partner Connell Ward, Eddie Verret and spouse Lanie, Robert Verret and spouse Karyn, Tucker Verret and spouse Sherri, Larry Verret and spouse Tracy, Jamie Romero and spouse Kevin, Pamela Simon and spouse Dr. Pernel Simon, Donna Fabrega and spouse Luis, Dee Ann Porter and spouse Lance, Wade Miller and spouse Bree; great grandchildren, Kasey Gibbs, Tucker Gibbs, Zachary Gibbs, Katriane Verret, Cade Verret, Reese Verret, Braidon Bijeaux, Taylor Guilbeau and spouse Nicholas, Macy Romero, Jeremy Dupuis and wife Blair, Joshua Dupuis, Jordan Simon, Spencer Simon, Lily Fabrega, Sam Fabrega, Hannah Porter, Madelyn Porter, Sarah Porter; great great grandchildren, Avery Dupuis, Brooks Dupuis, and Malaya Guilbeau who is due to arrive this summer, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Eusebe "Tucker" Verret; brothers, Wilson Guidry, and Alexander Guidry; sisters, Daisy Boudreaux, Lelia Bradford, and Aureline Broussard. Pallbearers will be Larry Verret, Darren Gibbs, Jimmy Gibbs, Eddie Verret, Jeremy Dupuis, Jordan Simon, and Wade Miller. Honorary pallbearers include Spencer Simon, Tucker Gibbs, Sam Fabrega, and Braidon Bijeaux.
