Lillie Mae Courville

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, January 21, 2008, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Lillie Mae Courville, 64, who passed away on Friday, January 18, 2008 at her residence. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Rev. Fr. Donald Pelous, pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. Readers will be Annette Baudoin and Rhonda Mosby. Gift bearers will be her grandchildren. Mrs. Courville was employed by the St. Martin Parish School Board for 17 years. She was a parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church and was very committed to her work with the annual church fair, where she was in charge of the Coke stand. She served as a board member with the senior citizens program in the Catahoula area and was very attentive to the needs of the senior citizens in the community. The children at school always said how much they "Loved Mrs. Lillie". She will long be remembered for her laugh and the laughter she brought to others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother - her eyes were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Edrick Courville, of Catahoula; one son, Ronnie Courville, of Odessa, TX; two daughters, Rhonda Mosby and her husband, Tony, of Catahoula, and Rona Baudoin and her husband, Wade, of Broussard; one brother, Roy Hayes and his wife, Alice, of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, Connor Baudoin, Madison Baudoin, Leon Mosby, Rodney Mosby, Bradley Mosby, and Brandon Mosby; and two great grandchildren, Hailey and Landon Mosby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Anna Usie Hayes; and one brother, Wallace Hayes The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and continue until 1:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Tony Mosby, Wade Baudoin, Bradley Mosby, Marshall Blanchard, Leland Guidry, and Travis Courville. Honorary pallbearer will be Roy Hayes Pellerin Funeral Home, 337.332.2111, is in charge of arrangements.
