Linda Blanchard Benoit

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Linda Susan Blanchard Benoit, 61, who passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Father Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral Mass. Linda enjoyed going bowling, boating, and playing with her dog Nu-Nook. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who cherished spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Survivors include her husband, Gilbert Benoit, of Cecilia; her son, Chad Benoit and his wife, April, of Breaux Bridge; three brothers, Richard Blanchard, John H. Blanchard, both of Baton Rouge, and Marshall Blanchard, of Lafayette; her twin sister, Belinda Berard, of Cecilia; and three grandchildren, Austin Benoit, Carson Benoit, and Quinn Benoit. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Ernestine Tina LeBlanc Blanchard; a brother, Francis Blanchard; and her father and mother-in-law, Joswell T-Moon and Beatrice Benoit. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Josh Benoit, Richard Blanchard, John H. Blanchard, Rex Berard, ;Ron Wiltz, and Joey Benoit. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Blanchard, Belinda Berard, and Carol Benoit. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
