Catahoula - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, June 4, 2021, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Linda Gail Doucet, 65, who passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Lafayette General Medical Center.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 10:45 am. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021.Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.Linda Gail Doucet, known by many as “Noonie”, was born on September 19, 1955, to her late father, Mervin Talley, and mother, Arlene Talley Ezell. Linda loved everything outdoors, including car rides, bike rides, and boat rides. She also had a passion for gardening, fishing, cooking, camping, and most of all, spending time with her family. To all who knew her, she was a giver, never a taker, and a light of love and compassion to everyone.She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Perry Doucet, of Catahoula; daughter, Rhonda Doucet; son, Damon Doucet (Talya); five grandchildren, Christian S. Ivey, Rylee E. Doucet, Olivia C. Vanicor, Kyser J. Doucet, and Colton A. Doucet; two sisters, Debbie T. Melancon (Gary) and Cindy T. Gorbea (Salvador); five brothers, Cleve Talley (Sandra), Terry Talley, Tony Talley (Terese), Mervin Talley, Jr. (Kim), and James Ezell (Ciji); and her beloved pet, Barbie.She was preceded in death by her parents, Mervin Talley, Sr., and Arlene Talley Ezell.Pallbearers will be Cleve Talley, Terry Talley, Tony Talley, Mervin Talley, Jr., James Ezell, Salvador Gorbea. Alternate pallbearers are Christian S. Ivey and Gerry D. Ivey, Jr.Honorary pallbearers will be Kyser J. Doucet and Colton A.
