Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge for Linda Gail Peter, 67. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 617 Latiolais Street, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517. Rev. Larry Dixson will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. On February 20, 1950, Linda was born to Rudolph and Ida Peter, she was the youngest of ten children. On January 3, 2018 our Father in heaven sent down his blessed angel for Linda Gail Peter to eternal life. She preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Ida Peter, five sisters and two brothers, Mary Ann Peter (Toote), Willie Mae Borel (Boone), Alice Ledet, Lois Smith, Velma Pickney, Phillip Peter (P.J.) and Rudolph Peter (Sonny), all of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Linda is survived by one sister, Gloria Peter Hypolite of (Parks, Louisiana), one brother Robert Lee Peter (Marie), of Lafayette, Louisiana. A Special niece Liza Hypolite Lewis (Eric Sr.) of New Iberia, Louisiana, who took special care of her. Also, she helped raise her two sons, Jude Thaddeus Pickney and Timothy Bernard Pickney, they loved their mother and will truly miss her; her grandchildren, Tyrus Paul Hypolite, Angel Troynai Mercier, Adam Troy Mercier Jr., Miracle Elizabeth Lewis, and Azania Pickney; and great grandchild, Tyasia Jystice Hypolite. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Michael (T-Mike) Borel, Alvin Hypolite, Jr., Tyrus Hypolite, Wilbert Ledet, Christopher James Ledet, and Claude Borel (Mush). Honorary Pallbearers will be Scotty Borel, Michael Borel, Eric Lewis, Sr., Wilbert Ledet, Sr., Jude Thaddeus Pickney, and Timothy Pickney.
