Linda Thomassee

Leonville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Linda Thomassee, 70, who passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:30 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 11:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read be Alahna Plumb and Sherry Homan. Gift Bearers will be Peggy Thomassee and Sumer Manuel. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Linda honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corps. She enjoyed shopping, going to the casino, playing Pokeno, traveling, cooking, baking, and doing things for others. Linda had so much pride in her home and for herself. Everyone always praised her on the cleanliness of her home. Linda was kind to everyone and would offer to help anyone in need. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Collette Fitzgerald and husband Jason of Port Barre; her son, Johnny Plumb of Arnaudville; step-sons, Robert Wade Thomassee and spouse Peggy of Arnaudville, James Thomassee and spouse Johnice of Opelousas, and Kent Thomassee and spouse Tricia of Opelousas; sisters, Jean Gautreaux of Folson, LA, Norma Wiltz of Henderson, and Pat Braud and husband Robert; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomassee; her father, John Anderson; her mother, Dora Jarreau Anderson; and her sister, Kathy Manuel. Pallbearers will be Johnny Plumb, Robert Wade Thomassee, Jason Fitzgerald, Jarred Lanclos, Janson Lanclos, and Taylor Plumb. The family would appreciate any donations to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
