VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Lydia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 10, 2010 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, in Lydia, for Linke B. Jolet, 48 who died at 4:12 PM Monday, April 5, 2010 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, Texas. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Rev. Donavan Labbe will be the Celebrant. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Jolet was employed by Facilities Consultants Group in Lafayette as an engineering tech. Over the years, he has also worked in many other oilfield related positions, some of which were structural fitter, estimator, and project manager. He enjoyed wood working, working outdoors, designing everything from homes to gardens in various cad programs, listening to music, travel, motorcycles, Renaissance fairs and was an avid reader. However, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Jamie Landry Jolet of New Iberia; a daughter, Lauren Jolet Breaux and husband Nathan of New Iberia; a son, Brock Jolet of Lafayette; his father, Floyd O. Jolet of Lydia; his mother, Rose Louviere Jolet of Lydia; a sister, Roxanne Jolet of Lydia; a brother, Lance Jolet of Lydia; Mother-in-law, Janet Landry of Jeanerette; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Landry Gajan of Jeanerette, Rebecca Landry Patout of Jeanerette, Wendy Landry LeLeux and husband Ken of New Iberia; nephews, Logan Jumonville of Lydia, Courtney Jolet of New Iberia, Christopher Patout of Jeanerette; nephew and godchild, Evan Gajan of Jeanerette; nieces, Allison Patout Landry and husband Jared of Jeanerette, Sara Patout of Jeanerette, Alexandra Broussard of Lydia, Hannah Carter of Kansas; great nieces, Hallie Landry of Jeanerette, Keri Landry of Jeanerette; godchildren, Lori Alleman and McRae McMath. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herman and Mae Bourque Jolet; maternal grandparents, Whitney and Virginia Landry Louviere; and father-in-law, Winnie J. Landry. Pallbearers will be Brock Jolet, Nathan Breaux, Lance Jolet, Courtney Jolet, Logan Jumonville, and Scott Legnon. Honorary pallbearers include Ken LeLeux and Evan Gajan. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Friday.
