Linton 'Palon' "Palon" A. Collette

Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Linton "Palon" Collette, 87, who passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 12:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Linton, better known as "Palon", was a man of good morals, hard work, and dedication. Palon overcame many obstacles and never let anything stop him from taking care of his family or doing things for himself. He was commercial fisherman all his life while also working in the oil field. He loved being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Palon enjoyed sports, watching football and baseball, especially the Saints and Dodgers. He loved listening to good Country music and telling stories of his life on the basin. Palon lived for his kids and grandkids. He will be remembered for being a strong, loving, and courageous man and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving sons, Sherbin Collette and wife Louella, Chris Collette and wife Carrie Ann, Terry Collette and companion Jeaniee Ray, Danny Collette and wife Deirdra, Kip Collette and wife Maura; grandchildren, Paula and spouse Troy, Kelly and spouse Dainie, Marty and spouse Rachelle, Scotty and spouse Tiffany, Torey, Kasey, Dusty and spouse Ashley, Britt and spouse Emily, Amber and spouse Josh, Trent, Kyle, Jantzen, Kaede; great-grandchildren, Robby, Lee, Devin, Braylon, Jacye, Maycii, Logan, Gracyn, Julia, Olivia, Ava, Carson, Colin, Aubree, Baylor, Mya, Sophia, Landon, Logan, and Kylee; and one great-great grandchild, Lorie. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Courville Collette; parents, Will and Cecile Hebert Collette; grandchild, Sandie Collette; brothers, Ames, Newton, and Etley Collette; and sisters, Rose Allemon, Dorothy Menard, and Alice Allemon. Pallbearers will be Marty, Scotty, Kelly, Torey, Trent, and Kasey. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaede, Britt, Kyle, and Dusty.
