Parks - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Lionel ""L.T."" Trosclair, Jr., 81, who died Sunday, April 23, 2006 St. Martinville.
Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Mr. Trosclair was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy. He was a charter member of the American Legion Post 289 and has been involved with the organization for the past 59 years. ?He also belonged to the Disabled American Veterans and was awarded the Victory Medal in World War II.
Survivors include his four daughters, Betty T. Courville and her husband, Clevan of Breaux Bridge, Priscilla T. Theriot and her husband, Maurice (Pye), Jackie T. Emmons and her husband, Wallace, Jr., and Mona T. Blanchard and her husband, Carrol, all of St. Martinville; 2 sisters, Genevive T. Ozenne of St. Martinville and Lula T. Cormier of Breaux Bridge; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel, Sr. and Vitalia Champagne Trosclair; his wife, Jeanette Melancon Trosclair; his brother, Dennis Trosclair and his sister, Vivian. T. Miguez.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm ~ 10:00 pm, Monday, April 24, 2006 and continue at 7:00 am, Tuesday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday.
Pallbearers will be Marty Theriot, Hal Courville, Mercury Theriot, Tyson Theriot, Kelly Courville and Clayton Melancon.
Pellerin Funeral Homes of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
