Arnaudville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 2, 2025 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church honoring the life of Lloyd C. Quebedeaux, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on December 27, 2024, in his hometown of Arnaudville.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Arnaudville on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. 

A rosary will be prayed by his seven children at 11:00 AM on Thursday.

Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Katie Hebert and his godchild, Kerry A. Melancon. Gift bearers will be Katie Hebert, Kristen Chautin, Michele Roberts, Kindsey Chautin, Eva Barras, and Zoie Quebedeaux.

Burial will follow at St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum.

Born on September 6, 1933, Lloyd dedicated his life to his family and his passions, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and cherished memories.

As a proud member of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association and The Jockey Club, Lloyd made a significant mark as a racehorse breeder. His days as a self-employed contractor and carpenter showcased his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft in the construction industry.

Lloyd's love for life extended beyond his work; he found joy in gardening, fishing, hunting, and raising horses and cattle. He was especially fond of cooking. His family will always remember his famous rooster and hen gumbos and sweet pralines. Most importantly, Lloyd treasured the time spent with his family and his furry friend, "Poncho". He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Annette Dupuis Quebedeaux; their children, Belinda Olivier (Darrell), Kathy Roberts (Keith), Jenifer Chautin (Kenneth), Tony Quebedeaux (Tara), Jason C. Quebedeaux, Ryan Quebedeaux, and Dawn Quebedeaux; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Quebedeaux; mother, Alice Taylor Quebedeaux; siblings, Robert Quebedeaux, George Quebedeaux, Louis Quebedeaux, Wade Quebedeaux, Jessie Quebedeaux, Johnny Quebedeaux, LeeRoy Quebedeaux, Edith Lejeune, Germaine Gautreaux, Alma Gautreaux, Lucy Morgan, and Mary Alice Angelle.

Pallbearers will be Tony Quebedeaux, Jason Quebedeaux, Ryan Quebdeaux, Stephen Olivier, Joshua Roberts, and Blaze Quebedeaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Olivier, Travis Roberts, Jonathan Olivier, and Micah Roberts.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Karen McFaul and St. Martin Hospital Staff, Dr. Warren Degatur and Staff, Vital Caring Staff, Larry and Charletta Thomas and their staff at "A Place At Home," Dr. Michael S. Cain and the entire staff at Hospice of Acadiana, and family friend and dear caretaker, Laura Mistrot for the excellent care given to Lloyd in his time of need.
