Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Lolly Joseph Brasseaux Sr., 81, who passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue at 7:00 am until 9:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Callie Brasseaux and Jade Daigle. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Lolly honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Brasseaux and her fiance, Lane Kidder of Lafayette; his sons, Lolly Brasseaux Jr. of Breaux Bridge, Scott Brasseaux of Breaux Bridge, and Craig Brasseaux and his wife, Jeanie of Duson; his brothers, Donald Brasseaux and Steven Brasseaux both of Breaux Bridge; his sister, Liz LeBlanc and her husband, Eddy of Breaux Bridge; his 6 grandchildren; and his 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Guidry Brasseaux; his parents, Andrus and Birdie Trahan Brasseaux; his brother, Lenny Brasseaux; and his sister, Jeri Guidry. Pallbearers will be Chad Brasseaux, Blaine Brasseaux, Ben Brasseaux, Lane Kidder, Eddy LeBlanc, and Steven Brasseaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Donald Brasseaux.
