Lorena Lormand

Arnaudville - Lorena 'Sis' Marks Lormand, 87, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Keenan W. Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ina Courville, Neva Stelly and Doris LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be Lacey LeBlanc and Callie Stelly. Music will be provided by soloist, Debbie Richard and organist, Andre Courville. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Sis was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and volunteered at St. Theresa in Arnaudville, hospitals and nursing homes located in the area. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading, sewing, ceramics, cooking, baking and praying in her prayer room. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Lormand of Arnaudville; her sons, Nolan (Lydia) Lormand, Wivis Lormand and Joey (Ethel) Lormand all of Arnaudville; her daughters, Ina (Joe) Courville of Lafayette, Neva (Ronnie) Stelly of Arnaudville and Doris (Michael) LeBlanc of Jeanerette; her sisters, Lou Meek of Lafayette and Verna Parker of Maryland; 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Leland Antoine Marks; her mother, Laurence Babineaux Marks Robin; her step father, Wallace Robin; brothers, Leland 'Red' Marks and John R. Robin; sister, Leona McConnell; grandchildren, Ross LeBlanc and Shelly LeBlanc; and her great grandchild, Austin Breaux. Pallbearers will be her six children. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Pellerin Funeral Homeof Arnaudvilleis in charge of arrangements.
