A devout Catholic, Mrs. Lasseigne was a member of the 3rd Order of the Carmelites, she was also a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Altar Society. Her life's passion was family, music, and art; in which she found extreme joy. Her joy of music and art began at a very young age. She and her husband, Theophile, provided a lifetime of loving support and guidance to their four children and nine grandchildren. After his death, at the age of 67 in 1986, she continued to provide matriarchal wisdom and wit to the family as she was blessed with great grandchildren; whom she cherished and dearly loved. Survivors include two sons, Bryan Lasseigne and his wife, Connie, and Michael P. Lasseigne, all of New Iberia; two daughters, Cindy Lasseigne of Kingwood, TX, and Claire Hebert and her husband, Kenneth, of New Iberia; nine grandchildren, Jason Hebert, Ryan Hebert, Mary Kay Gisclair, Mindy Derouen, Lori Maldonado, Alcia Mayeux, Barron Lasseigne, Joel Lasseigne, and Bridgette Guilbeau, and eleven great grandchildren.
