Loretta Menard Champagne

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 1, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Loretta Menard Champagne, 89, who passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Very Rev. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, JCL, Pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Loretta was a very caring and loving person. She always took the time to care for others. Survivors include her niece, Linda M. Bailey; her great nephews, Brody M. Melancon and Brady J. Melancon; her brothers, Norille Menard and his wife, Ruby L., and Lucien Menard, Jr. and his wife, Elizebelle all of Breaux Bridge and her sister Ann Douet of Parks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucien Menard, Sr. and Lelia Hulin Menard; her husband, Alfred Champagne; her sisters, Leotine Dehahoussaye and Lorena Boutte and her brother, Percy Menard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2008 and continue at 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Brody Melancon, Brady Melancon, Troy Menard, Benny Menard, Don Douet and Bryan Collette. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
