Loretta Rogers Clements

A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Saturday. Rev. Bryan Johnson will officiate. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Loretta Ann Rogers Clements was born in Franklin, LA on September 18, 1938 to the late Cyrus Peter Rogers and Emily Lormand Rogers. She was resident of New Iberia, and was a landlord. She was a talented artist and seamstress, and loved to dance. She was always the first one on the dance floor, and the last one off. She used to always say, "My Daddy said, 'Don't ever lose your smile,'" and she kept hers until the end. She also loved to travel; if you said, "go," she was ready! She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Loretta is survived by five children, Wade Clements and wife Brenda, Roger Clements and wife Aline, Dorothy Clements Mire and husband Scott, David Clements, and Kevin Clements; a brother, C.J. Rogers; two sisters, Velma Rogers Belenger and husband Robert, and Ann Rogers Trahan and husband Jessie; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Clements; her longtime companion, Jimmy Lee Romero; and three brothers, Daniel Rogers, Harold Rogers, and Alvoid Rogers. Pallbearers will be Nathan P. Mire, Benjamin Clements, Adam Clements, Nolan Mosbroker, D.J. Clements, and Kevin Clements, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Drake Hewitt and Michael Moreno.
