Loretta Theriot Meche

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, July 30, 2005, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Loretta Theriot Meche, 76, of Henderson, who died Thursday, July 28, 2005 at her residence. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Mrs. Meche was a member of the Our Lady of Mercy Church Choir. ?She was the vice president and owner of ?Meche's Hunting Club in Henderson. ?Loretta loved to cook, crawfish, and hunt, and she also had a green thumb in gardening, especially tomatoes. Survivors include her husband, Frank J. Meche of Henderson; her sons, Steven Meche of Breaux Bridge, Andrew Meche, Eugene Meche and Jody Meche, all of Henderson; her daughters, Linda Whitehead of Holden, LA, Genell Bodoin of Breaux Bridge, JoAnn Saucier of Jackson, MS, and Marie Girouard of Cecilia; her sisters, Jane Dauphinet of Parks, Daisy Trahan of St. Martinville, and Dianne Theriot of Breaux Bridge; twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-one and counting great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Meche, Jr.; her parents, John and Lota Theriot; her brother, Irvin Theriot; and her sisters, Gladys Boyer, Anna Lou Castania, and Anna Louise Boudreaux. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8 AM ~ 10 PM on Friday and continue at 8 AM on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday. Pallbearers will be Steven, Andrew, Eugene, and Jody Meche, Casey Bodoin and Andy Meche. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Schenk, Mark Schenk, Mack Schenk, Jason Meche, Randall Meche, Bert Meche, Jake Meche, Frankie Meche, Daniel Saucier, Brennan Meche, Bryce Meche, and Ryan Meche. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
