Loretta Jane Mier

Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Loretta Jane Mier, 46, who passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at her residence. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Fr. Donald Pelous, pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral service. Loretta is survived by her brother, Allen Mier, Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Breaux Bridge; her sister, Nora Latiolais of New Iberia; seven nieces and nephews, Garrette Latiolais, Andrea Latiolais, Paige Mier, Drake Mier, Tanner Mier, Celissa Mier, and Dillon Mier; and her great niece and nephew, Makayla Leon and Caynon Ardoin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Mier, Sr. and Jeanette Verret Mier; and one brother, Amos Mier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall from time 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and continue until time 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
