Lorina Brown

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Friday, April 24, 2015, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Lorina Brown, 91, who passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Sheneria Broussard and Celina M. Ellis. Gift Bearers will be Laila Lee Ellis, Braydon Broussard, and Darrick Senegal. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Mrs. Brown was a parishioner of St. Catherine Catholic Church and was a member of the St. Catherine Rosary Group and the Ladies Altar Society. Lorina worked for Ms. Wanda Hebert for many years; caring for her children while Ms. Wanda worked at the nursing home. She loved cooking and baking and taking care of people - especially her family, who adored her. She is survived by her sons, John (Lee Anna) Brown of Lafayette, Joseph Solomon (Carolyn) Brown of Waco, TX, Howard Paul Brown of Arnaudville, and Leonard (Celina) Brown of Arnaudville; her daughters, Dorothy Ann Comeaux of New Orleans, and Linda Marie Comeaux of Fort Worth, TX; her sister Helen Marie Mouton of Sunset; 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mose Brown; her parents, Claymeal and Philamene Charles Barlow; her brothers, Joseph, Wallace, Ernest, Wilson, and Anthony Barlow; her sisters, Josephine Williams, Theresa Barlow, and Regina Pierre, four grandsons, Leonard "Buster" Brown, Robert "Lil Robert" Comeaux, Mose N. Brown, and Lewis N. Brown; and a granddaughter, Barbara Roberts. Pallbearers will be her four sons, and Albert Comeaux, Herbert Barlow, and Ruffus Roberts.
