Lou Ella Dekerlegand

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. , on Thursday, August 5, 2010 , at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Lou Ella Miller Dekerlegand, 89, who passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. Entombment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum. Fr. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Mrs. Dekerlegand was a lifelong resident and parishioner of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, in Arnaudville, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, as well as a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Arnaudville. Survivors include one son, George Dekerlegand, Jr. and wife, Hilda, of Ferriday; one daughter, Margaret D. Morrow and husband, Dr. Robert L. Morrow, Jr., of Lafayette; two brothers, Herbert Miller of Arnaudville, and Roger Miller of Leonville; one sister, Elda Miller Robin and husband, Curley, of Port Barre; ;six grandchildren, Mignon Marcello, Monique Woods, Michelle Dekerlegand, Robert L. Morrow, III, John A. Morrow, and Michael Dekerlegand; ;six great grandchildren, Conner Woods, Kyle Woods, Collin Woods, Brook Marcello, Genevieve Morrow, and Robert L. Morrow, IV; and one great-great grandchild, Luke Marcello.She was preceded in death by her husband, George J. Dekerlegand, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Helen Arnaud Miller; ;three brothers, Gerald, Carroll, and Willard Miller; and ;six sisters, Alida Miller Ray, Lillian Miller Hebert, Edna Miller, Louise Miller Arnaud, Alma Miller Stelly, and Emily Miller. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8 a .m. until 11 a .m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Robert L. Morrow, III, John A. Morrow, Dr. Robert L. Morrow, Jr., Michael Dekerlegand, Edward Miller, and Deke Dekerlegand.Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
