New Iberia - A Mass of Christian will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in New Iberia for Lou May Guidry, 92, who died Monday, April 30, 2001 at her residence.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, in New Iberia.
A resident of New Iberia, Mrs Guidry was born on April 16, 1915 in Abbeville. She is the daughter of Leotard and Elda Boute Langlinais.
Survivors include her sons, John Guidry and wife Irene, Bill A. Guidry and wife Ruth Renee, all of New Iberia; her daughters, Georgia A. Jeanise and husband Henry of Orange, TX, Marie Folsom and husband William Lamar of Deweyville, TX and Dianna A. Miguez and husband Kenwood of New Iberia; sisters, Rena Guidry and Olfida Vice, both of Erath; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and 2 expected.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John D. Guidry; grandson, Troy W. Guidry; sisters, Aurora Broussard and Ida Trahan; brothers, Aristille and Theodore Langlinais.
A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Thursday, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Guidry, Billy Guidry, Keith Folsom, Taylor Dugas, Lowell Nance and Seth Guidry.
