Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge for Lou Etta Wyche LeBlanc, 51, who died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at her residence.
Interment will be in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Lou Etta was employed in nursing services for many years and was a member of the Nurses Association. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was very active in youth group leadership and women's missions.
Survivors include her husband, Leon LeBlanc; her mother, Mary Etta Scott Wyche; two daughters, Marletta and Macy LeBlanc, all of Breaux Bridge; five brothers, Willis Wyche, James Wyche, Clyde Wyche, and his wife, Rhona, all of Breaux Bridge, Sidney Wyche of Baton Rouge, and Lester Fifer of San Diego, CA; seven sisters, Iona Wyche of Breaux Bridge, Arlene Wyche, Geraldine Vital, both of Lafayette, Lillian Pickney and her husband, Harold, of Port Arthur, TX, Stephanie W. Jacquet of St. Martinville, Elsie Hypolite of New Iberia, and Joyce Pierce of San Jose', CA; two grandchildren, Jamencia and Katrel LeBlanc; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Wyche, Jr.; her sister, Claudia Bourda; her brother, John Wyche, III; her maternal grandparents, William Scott and Lillian Daniells; and her paternal grandparents, John Wyche, Sr. and Malvina Wyche.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 150 Brant St., Breaux Bridge, from 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Wyche, Harold Pickney, Sr., Clyde D. Wyche, Harold Pickney, Jr., Clarence Wyche, and Lemel Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Wyche, Ray Wyche and Xxavier Dartez.
The family would like to express their sincerest thanks and appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana for their care and support given to Lou during her illness.
