Louella "Mommee" L. Olivier

Arnaudville - Louella Lormand Olivier "Mommee" was surrounded by her family when she departed peacefully on January 23, 2023. She was 81 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at St. Francis Regis Catholic Church.

Father Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis Regis Cemetery.

Readers will be Doris LeBlanc and Lea Duvall.  

Visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville on Wednesday from 9:00 AM till time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM.

Louella was born on May 16, 1941. She was married to Remi Olivier for 61 years and had 6 children, 18 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, which she loved spending most of her time with. She enjoyed sitting on her patio visiting with family and friends. Her love of cooking, cleaning, and yard work were her passions in life.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Olivier (Lillian) and Neal Olivier (Robert); daughters, Juanita Clemmons (David), Tamma Landry (Perry), Jacqueline Robin (Shane), and Sandra Guilbeau (Mark); sisters, Lovena Marks and Helen Broussard; and her brothers, Adrien, and Burton Lormand.

Louella was preceded in death by her husband, Remi Olivier; parents, Eustache Lormand Sr. and the former, Helen Taylor Lormand; brothers, Joseph, Batmost, Eustache Jr. and Bruno Lormand; and her sisters, Phyllis Trahan and Adrienne Lalonde.

Pallbearers will be all of her children, Kenneth, Neal, Tamma, Juanita, Jacqueline, and Sandra. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Liz Landry for coming into their lives to help care for their mother. Also, thank you to Hospice of Acadiana for the wonderful nurses and aides who were so kind and considerate to the family and Mommee. Special thanks to her friends who filled her heart with love and laughter.

Most of all we would like to thank our God and Savior for allowing us to be blessed with such a great mother and for ushering her into eternity in a peaceful manner. Until we meet again.
