Louella Cormier Trahan

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 13, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Louella Cormier Trahan, 81, who passed away on Monday, November 10, 2008 at her residence in Cecilia. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. Fr. Pousson will conduct the services. Louella loved her family dearly, but most of all her husband, whom she referred to as her Hero. She enjoyed attending mass, going to the casino and tending to her plants and flowers. She loved to decorate costumes and their house. Her best quality was being filled with laughter. Survivors include her husband of 62 years as of December 7, 2008, Mitchell Mike Trahan of Cecilia; her sons, Kerney Trahan and his wife, Dolly of Baton Rouge, Robert Bob Trahan and his wife, Micki and Reilly Trahan and his wife, Liz all of Cecilia; her daughter, Tina Trahan Hamilton and her husband, Danny of Cecilia; her sister, Ethel Lasseigne of Butte La Rose; her grandchildren, Hope Trahan Boutte, Jude Trahan, Mark Trahan, Zach Trahan, Paul Trahan, Joy Trahan LeFors, Heather Trahan, Hallie Trahan, Simone Trahan Cohn, Jordy Trahan, Carson Hamilton and Cullen Hamilton; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Theresa Hebert Cormier and her sister, Annie Cormier Domengeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Jude, Zach, Mark, Paul and Jordy Trahan, Carson and Cullen Hamilton. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
