Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 7 , 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Louis Castille, 94, who died on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at his residence.
Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 -Mausoleum, in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Paul LeFleur, pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services.
Mr. Castille worked for the Iberia Sugar Co-op for many years and was also a sugarcane farmer. ?He enjoyed talking about sugarcane and pecans.
Survivors include one brother, Roy Castille, of Port Arthur, TX; and two sisters, Vivian Guidry, of Breaux Bridge, and Ollie Patin, of Houston, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rosa Quebedeaux Castille; his first wife, Marie Therese Periou Castille; six brothers, Easton, Wade, Percy, Adley, Whitney, and Allen Castille; and two sisters, Cecile Thibodeaux and Edna Romero.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Shane Verret, Shawn Verret, Linton Castille, Ernie Castille, Pat Verret, and Arnulfo Aguirre.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
