Louis Calvin Hazelwood

Loreauville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2016, at Highland Baptist in New Iberia for Louis Calvin Hazelwood, 35, who passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, in Lafayette. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Rev. David Denton will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Louis was born on November 16, 1980 in Thibodaux, and was a graduate of Loreauville High School, where he was a member of the football team. A very funny person, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, football, and cooking. Survivors include his parents, Richard and Vicki Boyd Hazelwood of Loreauville; children, Bryce Hazelwood, Hayden Hazelwood, Liam Hazelwood, McKenzie Hazelwood; brothers, Chad Hazelwood and wife Beth of Loreauville, Richard Cade Hazelwood and wife Rachel of Loreauville; sisters, Natalie LaBry and husband Brandon of Abbeville, and Ashley Hazelwood of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rev. Louis Calvin Hazelwood (his namesake), Marie Foreman Hazelwood, Bill Boyd, and Audrey Stolz. Serving as pallbearers are Chad Hazelwood, Cade Hazelwood, Brandon LaBry, Scott Davis, James Knatt, Brant Hazelwood, and Billy Boyd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
