Louis 'Pete' Toucheck

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 11, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Louis "Pete" James Toucheck, 77, who passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 9:00 am until 1:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift bearers will be Taylin Toucheck and Tinzley Toucheck. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Toucheck enjoyed fishing, visiting with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria Perret Toucheck of Cypress Island; daughters, Angella Marie Toucheck and companion Sylvester Taylor of St. Martinville and Tina Latiolais and husband Melvin of Loreauville; brothers, Oreste Toucheck, Jr. and wife Dianna of St. Martinville and Rodney Toucheck and wife Susan of Breaux Bridge; sister, Darlene Toucheck Bourque and husband Malcolm of Loreauville; grandchildren, Henry Toucheck, Tiffany Breaux, Timothy Frohock, Tonya Toucheck, Whiley Frohock,,and Cody Latiolais; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Francis Toucheck of Cypress Island. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry James Toucheck; father, Oreste Toucheck Sr.; mother, Rita Melancon; and brother, Leon Paul Toucheck. Pallbearers will be Cody Latiolais, Henry Toucheck, Whiley Frohock, Timothy Frohock, Adam "Lenny" Toucheck, and Oreste Toucheck III. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Latiolais and Sylvester Taylor.
