St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 15, 2005, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Louise Berard DeBlanc, 85, who died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at her residence in St. Martinville.
Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Rev. Jefferson DeBlanc will conduct the services.
Mrs. DeBlanc was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Altar Society, St. Martin de Tours Choir and French Choir. ??She was a Eucharistic Minister and Eucharistic Adorer and a member of the Carmelite Order of Discalced Secular.
Mrs. DeBlanc loved her church, family and choir.
Survivors include her husband Jefferson DeBlanc Sr. of St. Martinville; her Sons Rev. Jefferson DeBlanc Jr. of Opelousas, Richard DeBlanc and his wife Irma of Coteau Holmes, Frank DeBlanc and his wife Margaret of St. Martinville, Michael DeBlanc and his wife Pamela of Parks; her daughter Barbara Romero and her husband Tommy of St. Martinville; her sisters Arsene Garbarino of Loreauville, Clofa Hebert of Estes Park, Colorado, Aurelia Girard, Ann Lafosse both of Coteau Holmes, and Eunie Berard of St. Martinville; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Romero and his wife Marcie, Christie R. Broussard and her husband David, Estelle DeBlanc, Margie DeBlanc, Amanda DeBlanc, Michael DeBlanc II, and Blake DeBlanc; and four great grandchildren, Trey Barras, Taylor Romero, Sean Broussard and Beau Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her parents Anicet and Aurelia Berard; ?five brothers Blanc, Savie, Adolph, Felix and Anicet Berard, Jr.; and her sister Lona Broussard.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 AM till 9:00 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2005 and continue at 8:00 AM, Monday, August 15, 2005 until time of service.
