Louise Arabie Guillory

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Louise Arabie Guillory, 83, who passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. Rev. Peter Johnston and Rev. Michael Bordelon will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Guillory was born on October 28, 1932 in Ged, Louisiana to Melville Jules Arabie and Agathe Marie Vidrine Arabie. She was a very loving, compassionate and humble person, who was very creative and enjoyed gardening, sewing, and quilting. Mrs. Guillory attended St. Paul Episcopal Church in Abbeville, and Trinity Anglican Church in Lafayette. Her grandchildren loved her cooking, especially her gumbo. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Wilton Lee Guillory of New Iberia; sons, Jeffery Guillory and wife Irene Killen of Covington, John Guillory and wife Donna Burk Guillory of New Iberia, Jason Guillory and wife Stacy Smith Guillory of Navarre, Florida; daughter, Christine Guillory Holland and husband Martin Holland of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers, Wilson Arabie and wife Ethel of Lake Charles, Robert Arabie of Lake Charles; sister, Vena Arabie Guillory and husband Charles Guillory of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Joy Ann Morales, Kristi Harvey, Sara Prentice, Kathryn Ekloff, Lauren Bordelon, Jack Guillory, Tommy Guillory; great grandchildren, Katelyn Morales, Kimber Morales, Evan Prentice, and Hayden Harvey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Wesley Arabie, Willis Arabie, Alvin Arabie, Harry Arabie, Melville Arabie;, son, James Eric Guillory.
