Lafayette – A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, December 13, 2019, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Lafayette for Loveless LeBlanc, 88, who passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019.
Entombment will follow in the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau.
Rev. Steve LeBlanc will be the Celebrant. Readers for the Mass will be Myra Boutte and Dax Douet. Gift Bearers include Sandy LaBit and Lacie Boutte.
Mr. LeBlanc was born on April 3, 1931 in Lafayette to the late Oscar and Eulalie Broussard LeBlanc, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner of Love’s Day Care Center in Lafayette for 40 years and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for many years. Mr. LeBlanc was a member of the American Legion, an avid reader, and loved taking care of and working with children. He never met a stranger, and was always joking and trying to make people smile.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Dugas LeBlanc; daughter, Shell Lopez and husband Brady of Coteau; grandson, Taj Lopez of Coteau; sisters, Audrey Guidry of Lafayette, Shirley Mayeux and husband Tony of Natchitoches; brothers, Billy LeBlanc and wife Patsy of Lafayette, Warren LeBlanc and companion Milton Coulter of Lafayette.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Loveline Theriot and Ruby Ann LeBlanc.
