Breaux Bridge A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Lucia Landry, 99, who passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 pm on Thursday by Lou Theriot. Fr. Bryce Sibley will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Lucia enjoyed talking on the phone, reading her weekly paper, The Teche News, and attending Mass every weekend. She enjoyed her stay at the nursing home, where she was a resident for the past 10 years. She also loved having her family and friends visit her at her home. She is survived by nine nieces and four nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eloi and Ava Marie Barras Landry; her brothers, Arthur E. Landry and Aristile Landry; her sisters, Emme Belaire, Edna Huval, and Helen Champagne; and two nieces and six nephews. Pallbearers will be Nolan, Whitney, and Nolis Champagne, Lloyd Touchet, Roy Landry, and Earles Belaire. The family would like to thank Drs. Warren and Ben Degatur, Wendy Fuselier; Ricky Hayes and the staff at St. Agnes Nursing Home, especially the nurses and aids on Hall C, St. Martin Hospital, and Hospice of Acadiana, for the care and attention given to her over the years.
